Fabric was cloth shower curtain. My wife cut them to shape and hemmed the edges. We then used snaps to attach them. We used the existing screws along the sides for one side of the snaps (similar to below) You will need the tool to hammer the snap together. I got mine off Amazon. My dogs are pretty good but we usually just made a barrier and had some pet fencing.

So yes we had 110 via the inverter which came with the trailer. Our setup worked very well for our purposes and the upgraded solar charge controller were very noticeable. I had a smaller inverter i plugged into the 12v socket we added in the bedroom. This was to allow running my CPAP mainly. We have since sold our Teardrop and moved to a lakefront home in the Cariboo.

It was quite comfy. So comfy in fact we kept it when we sold our Teardrop. We upgraded from Teardrop to house on a lake. We are camping 365 days a week now :)

Also looking to add some sort of vent. The question is are there and re-inforcing 'rib's in the roof you want to avoid. Basically as all have said its a super design I just need a cooler sleep environment.

Something to consider as well is 'portable' power. Like a Jackery or a GoLabs (what I have) which can power a laptop or charge phones etc. You can also recharge it via solar. I am currently modifying my battery setup and I am in to it for close to $1000 (I am learning about solar for future projects so I don't mind the spend). You can get a Golabs today for 169.99 with the Amazon coupon and a compatible solar panel for under $200. The best thing about portable power si you can take ith anywhere. Also great if you have a power outage.

So in looking up your Battery Model as Canadian Tire it is indeed a Marine Cranking battery as you stated. "The same elements that make a starting battery ideal for cranking an engine also make them less than ideal for continuous discharge or “cyclic” use. That's why deep cycle marine batteries are another necessity for boaters" So this battery has thinner internal plates and needs more care to make sure it does not run down too far. Keep it topped up when not in use. If you don't the plates inside will 'sulphate' and impact the batteries ability to take a full charge and it will get weaker and weaker. From the pictrue it looks like it is only connected to the 'house' wiring for lights and maybe 12V outlets perhaps as the wires are rather thin. My expectation would be that this battery if maintained will be sufficent for the purpose. I have an inverter to run things that need 110 Volts AC so I have very big cables running of the battery for this purpose.

I actually had 3 batteries in the front box but the weight was ridiculous. I am currently upgrading to a single 100 amp/hr Lithium.

Agree with Forrest although I picked up a 'smart charger' a Noco Genius. The best way to protect your deep cycle battery is to keep it charged. Another thing about deep cycle batteries is running them down too far shortens their life. Good info at this link

Hi David, I actually run 3 batteries. I will explain. I have a deep cycle for my trolling motor and to stop it from running down I keep it in the toolbox wired in parallel and even take it along on trips. No point wasting the battery. I have lost a couple previously from not keeping them charged. I used to have a inexpensive charger and it didn't do the job. When charging my the voltage usually shows around 14.7 volts depending which part of the cycle the charger is on. The battery indicates (well 3 batteries) 12.9 when fully charged. And Peter is correct series doubles voltage and created the same amperage while parallel keeps the same voltage but can produce double the amperage.

This is a 4 1/2“ mattress which is memory foam. I feel like it’s more comfortable than the 4 inch foam (standard) plus a 3 inch memory foam we added on top. Seemed like a good idea at the time but too soft. I am 5’8” on a good day so the loss of a couple of inches isn’t a problem for me.

Well I guess the weekend arrived. Now I am all out of breath... Way to go David :) Anyway it works quite well. Some of my 'extras' are going to need a little bit of adjusting on the walls so it is easier to convert from sitting position to bed. All in all I am pleased with this. Because of the length isn't exactly 'Queen' dimension on of the 'short' sections will need to stay folder like a headboard. Neither Susan or I are tall so we like it. Result!!! I kneeled in the middle :( Comfy sitting place for a movie if its cold out.....

Me too David. We added some memory phone to the regular mattress but that's a no go... #1 its too much of an insulator so we were dying in September from heat on a rainy evening. #2 Its like quicksand for two people near 60 years of age. So the with the new mattress we hope to reduce the heat and create a way to sit. The mattress is actually too long but as you can fold 2 of the 9 inch sections we hope it will work perfectly. A plus will be we can keep it inside the house during the months we don't use it and it can air out. Look for an update this weekend

We purchased this and will be installing in the next few days. Will post pictures of fit and comments on what its like to sit on.

Princess Auto in Canada sell the following 2 items which easily connect to the roof rack and create a nice base for adding things like awnings easily afterwards. The expansion piece allows the rack to reach both of the roof rack bars and installation is simple after that. No drilling required. My 2 awnings are attached to the 'plates' on either side of the cargo rack by drilling 2 holes in each plate so again no impact to the trailer. Simple and effective. We get 2 large bins on the roof with room to spare.
