The mount 'hugs' the tank but we can move it as needed for as you say the Wet Coast weather. The two burner Coleman is great. We are still finding our way around what is really necessary. One thing we came across that was a great little purchase of our Espresso coffee pot. Stops it from tipping.

We are using a Coleman 2 burner on top of the side table and a permanent 5 LB propane tank mounted to side. Mount is pricey but we love having the side stove and not using the small disposable propane bottles. We still have our Butane stove as an emergency backup.

That looks very sharp. Very tidy. Part of my need to ‘cleanup‘ was my concern about shorting something out with a rogue tent pole or other metal object touching the positive battery posts and ground. I get nervous with that much power and exposed connections. have all that stuff buried now.

Nice setup. I did some upgrades as well.

The rooftop solar panel came with my build. I just added bus bars to terminate it and added plugs for external panels. My MPPT controller can handle 20 amps. At most I will have 300 watts coming in. I prefer to park in shade and use cables to panels. The solar panels all termiate to the bus bars and then the bus bars connect to the input of the MPPT controller.

It's our second year with ours and only had it out twice but I decided to grease them this year anyway. I figured the dusty roads etc. Better safe than sorry.

@David Berger As I thought I drilled a larger hole in the channel then screwed a tapered screw into the top half of the channel. I mounted the 2x2 to the bottom of the trailer which gave it clearance to the frame. I believe the 2x2 is set between the frame rail that runs up the center. (its what I had handy and it worked. Bin was a decent quality unit from Canadian tire. It has a lid so it doubles as storage when traveling

@David Berger I will try and grab a picture as I cannot recall. I believe a used a piece of 2x2 and attached it to the bottom floor and then the channel to that.

Hello Peter. I have the 1.5 liter in my 2018 Equinox. We made 2 trips in with our 5x8 last year. One was a 2 hour trip with a bit of altitude change. The second was 4 hours with much greater altitude change. I cannot agree more to not be in a hurry. Take the car out of ‘overdrive’ and don’t use the Cruise control as it tends to ‘hunt’ especially on inclines which as described is hard on the transmission. I have since purchased a GMC Jimmy for towing only because I found that I had too much weight on the tongue which cause the backend to sag making it difficult for clearance pulling out of driveways. I have the large toolbox with 2 batteries and have it fairly loaded plus a roof cargo carrier with a fair bit on it as well Hope this helps.
