First camp in Awenda with torrential rain

    in Travel with a teardrop

So I picked up my Diamond in the rough and our weather has been off & on rain plus Provincial parks are filled. I live 30 min from Awenda and managed two nights & have 4 nights comming up in 4 weeks. It was great to finally get my new baby out for a test. The second day we were hit with the storm that spawned a tornado in Barrie. Wow a ton of rain. I had a small stream running through the campsite. The DIR was fantastic and held up with no issues. Been camping for 40 yrs so easily created a rainproof cover for entrance into door ( 6 x 8 tarp + 2 tent poles ). Also purchased an extension tent from Amazon that cover the back kitchen area to allow a rain / shade cover. Worked great.
