    More Mods

    in General Discussions

I want to share a few more mods I've done this year. We love our trailer and have travelled extensively with it since 2017.

First off, after traveling on some very rough roads I found that the cooler and water container were banging against the wood bulkhead so as well as putting a strip of wood to prevent the cooler sliding around I put a couple of metal brackets on the floor as a stop for the sliding shelf. This also helps if I have an electric cord in the galley outlet with the hatch closed, the shelf doesn't hit it.

I added a bracket in the middle of the bulkhead as it had some movement in it, either from rough roads or me pushing against it in bed! I als recaulked the bottom.

I also modified the hatch latches. Previously I had put rubber hose on the end of the latches to make them fit better, but now I've taken them off and added wood pieces for the pins to go into. This stops any bouncing of the hatch.
